After various formal studies both in Europe (psychology) and Canada, I graduated from the experimental dept. at OCAD in Toronto, at the time when art education underwent radical changes. My approach to art is still experimental. I often combine drawing, painting and sculpture within different mediums, sometimes metalizing the canvas. More recently, I have expanded my exploration with new interest in 2-dimensional abstract forms. I have received 4 Ontario Arts Council grants - one of them a Merit Award; Best Painting Award at TOAE; City of Oshawa Award, OCA Scholarship, honourable mentions in juried shows, etc. At this later stage in my life, I think I am more mellow and more accepting of everything, including art. I don't want to box myself in into finding answers to questions about getting art out of the box! I do feel incredibly free, so maybe I have tapped into some truth, even if it is just for me and for now. In April 2014, I exhibited with Artists Network at the Toronto International Art Expo.
